What a great drawing! I love the way you used the colors, and he just sits there looking at you. Years ago one of my sons brought one home from school for the summer - that thing was a great model. All it did all day was bask. I drew it from every angle possible. It was a tad creepy sometimes when suddenly it would rotate an eye and start staring at me. lol nancy
Hahaha... I actually wanted to have an iguana because I thought they're cool, and if you train them well enough they'll even listen to your instructions...like dogs ^^ but really slow dogs. Superb drawing though, nice colors especially, because I know they really are beautiful like that :)
Wild dream! Great drawing - love all the colors. The other day I walked to a picnic bench (I am in South Florida) to draw and outdoor scene. Suddenly motion - the iguanas all started scurrying away. I was disappointed they didn't stay for a portrait. All during the time I was there painting, I heard an iguana moving noisily around among branches and palm fronds.
I really like how the details become pattern like. I've always been fascinated with lizards - don't know if that is a boy thing, but if I had that dream it would scare me!
Hi Cathie, this iguana would make a really cool painting, IMHO. Love the drawing. Thanks for your comment on my blog, and here's that site link for Alice Thompson's self-portrait challenge: http://calypsomoonartistmovement.blogspot.com/. Hope you have time to join in!
and something blue and purple too. Great job with all the right details.
ReplyDeleteI want to hear the specifics on your dream!
ReplyDeleteGreat drawing. I think I would be scare just knowing there was an iguana hanging around the bedroom window.
