Mannequins and Wigs

This is my submission for this week’s challenge for the DSDF Blog. I thought it was an interesting photo, and chose to do just a part of it. I like the colors I came up with and the style also.

Indiana Museum of Art

My oldest and dearest friend Susan went to see the IMA and came home with great stories and photos. So we decided to challenge each other to do a painting. Here is my attempt.

Dixie the Guru

I took a photo for the winter holidays of my dog Dixie (hence the red and green jester collar). When my friend, Susan (Art every Day blog) saw the photo she put out a challenge for both of us to paint a picture.
I call Dixie “the Guru” because she is so smart, and calm and peaceful.

California Trip

I just came back from California to see my grandson Austin, who has been in the hospital. He finally got to come home! So waiting in the San Diego Airport for our flight back to Florida, I got out my sketchbook and drew the waiting area.


Then I drew the forward galley on the plane.
